There is some confusion between Airbrush Tattoos and other forms of body painting.

 

Airbrush Tattoos are not the same as Face Painting, Henna or Hand Tattoos.

 

Airbrush Tattoos use a different type of paint, they are non-toxic, they are generally not applied to the face. The choice of color variations is unlimited.

We do not discourage any form of body art. We feel that all types of body art are unique in their own way.

 

            

 

What's The Difference?

 

A question we are often asked is "What's the difference between Airbrush Tattoos, Henna, face painting and Hand Tattoos?"

 

Airbrush  Tattoos

 

  • Airbrush Tattoos very colorful.
  • Airbrush tattoos are temporary 
  • Airbrush Tattoos last about a week or longer but can be removed at any time instantly
  • Airbrush Tattoos are hypo allergenic, non-toxic paints that are FDA approved
  • Airbrush Tattoos dry instantly
  • Airbrush Tattoos don't rub off or smudge
  • Airbrush Tattoos take minutes to put on
  • You can put Airbrush Tattoos anywhere on your body

 

Henna

 

Henna is a plant that is made into a paste and applied to the skin using a bag that is similar to a cake decorating bag.

 

Henna only comes in 1 color

 

Henna does last for a long time

 

Henna takes some time to dry and if you get a large piece you have to stay in the same position for some time while the tattoo dries to prevent smudging the paste.

 

Some people have an allergy to PPD. PPD is the chemical in Henna that dies the skin. Those with allergies may experience blistering, shortness of breath, and an itchy burning sensation around the area. When looking at henna products there are varying types. True henna (henna that is 100% pure) is tan or coffee colored and generally considered to be safe. The allergy to pure henna is rare. There are a good number of companies that sell black henna (henna paste that is black and designed to be much darker than pure henna). Black henna is considered the dangerous form of the paste and the allergy is more common.

 

Face Painting

 

  • They're also very colorful  
  • They are generally only applied on the face  
  • The paint is oil based & washes off  
  • You usually only have them for the day (if they haven't been rubbed off)  
  • They smudge even after you have had it for a few hours  
  • There are some really nice Face paintings depending on the artist and the paint used

 

Hand Tattoos

 

  • They are small pre-made tattoos much like decals 
  • They come in all types of colors and patterns 
  • They are applied with water 
  • They last a long time 
  •  Sometimes when they are being applied they don't completley stick to the skin 
  • You can't change the colors  
  • It doesn't look like a real tattoo 
  • you can't make them different in any way
